Almira Baker has been General Counsel since April 2009. In addition to handling all legal matters at the company, Almira also handles all aspects of risk management including insurance placement and claims. More recently, Almira has also begun to provide leadership to the human resources department. Almira’s legal and risk management expertise has been instrumental in protecting the business and guiding it through key management turnovers, ownership changes, material operational changes, significant mergers and acquisitions, and significant organic growth.

Prior to that, Almira worked at a large regional law firm and was also a Senior Financial Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wellesley College, with a major in Economics and a minor in Psychology, and where she was a two-time co-captain of the varsity tennis team. She then received her Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School.
